Headlights With High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamps, System Overview







CAUTION: Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:
- Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
- Disconnect negative ( - ) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals, observe all applicable Notes and torque specifications, as well as instructions on performing OBD program and electrical system function checks as specified.

1. Left/Right Control Module for High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp -J343- / -J344-
- Integrated with headlight unit.
- Modules cannot be replaced separately; replace complete headlight housing.
2. Left Front Level Control System Sensor -G78-
3. Left Rear Level Control System Sensor -G76-
4. Left/Right High Intensity Gas-discharge Lamp (with range control) Control Module -J567- / -J568-
- -J567- (left) is "master" control module.
- Location: left front wheel housing
- -J568- (right) is "slave" control module
- Location: right front/inner long member.
