Valve guides, replacing

^ Hand reamer 3120 and cutting fluid

Removing
- Clean and check cylinder head. Cylinder heads in which valve seats can no longer be reworked, or cylinder heads which have already been machined to minimum dimension, should not have valve guides replaced.
- Press out worn valve guides with 3121 from camshaft side (valve guide with shoulder repair version - from combustion chamber side).

Installing
- Coat new valve guides with oil and press with drift 3121 into cold cylinder head from camshaft side until shoulder makes contact.

Note:
^ When the shoulder on guide makes contact, the pressure must not exceed 10 kN (approx. 1.0 t) or the shoulder may break off.

- Ream valve guide with hand reamer 3120. Always use cutting fluid when reaming.
- Rework valve seats.
