Automatic Rollover Supports(TM), Removing And Installing

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions and notes for work on Automatic Rollover Supports(TM)

Removing
- Open convertible top.

Observe safety rules on handling electrically operated convertible top

- Automatic Rollover Supports(TM) can be raised using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051.
- Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap
- Remove rear backrest.







- Disconnect harness connectors - 5 - Drivers Rollover Protection Solenoid N309 and Front Passengers Rollover Protection Solenoid N310







- Remove Automatic Rollover Supports(TM) trim.
- Remove bolts - 1 -.
- Remove Automatic Rollover Supports(TM) upward.

Installing
- Insert Automatic Rollover Supports(TM) into opening from above.







- Thread in bolts - 1 - (29 Nm).







- Install Automatic Rollover Supports(TM) trim.
- Drive in Automatic Rollover Supports(TM).
- Connect harness connector - 5 - to Drivers Rollover Protection Solenoid (N309) and Front Passengers Rollover Protection Solenoid (N310).
- Install rear backrest.
- Switch on ignition.

CAUTION: Make sure no one is in the vehicle.

- Connect battery ground (GND) strap.

NOTE: After connecting battery, vehicle options (radio, clock, electric window regulator) must be checked according to repair manual and/or user manual.
