Door Lock, Removing and Installing (Convertible)

The door lock and the loudspeaker are secured to the assembly carrier.
The door lock can only be removed in conjunction with the subframe.

Removing
- Remove front door trim.
- Removing lock cylinder housing.







- Unclip clip - 1 - from door handle.







- Remove bolts - 1 - tightening torque: 20 Nm







- Disconnect all connectors and wiring harness clips - arrows -.
- Remove bolts/screws - 1 -, - 3 - and nut - 2 -. Pull top of mounting plate off door, lift and take out of door towards hinges.
- Turn mounting plate and pull connector off door lock.







- Drive out clips - 1 - with a drift.
- Pry door lock with retaining bracket off assembly carrier using a screwdriver - 3 -.
- Pull cable - 2 - out of assembly carrier.

NOTE: The retaining bracket is not part of the scope of delivery for the door lock. It is secured to the door lock by a bolt/screw and a pop rivet.







- Unclip cable - 1 -.
- Turn cable nipple through 90 degree and remove from eye.

Installing







- Pull lock lever - 1 - in - direction of arrow -.
- Tension spring - 2 - which is secured on door lock, in direction of arrow with a screwdriver and hook locking lever into spring.

NOTE: Hooking the operating lever in locks the lock. "Incorrectly" attaching of the cable later is thereby prevented (lock may move slightly).

Installation is reverse of removal.
