On Board Diagnostic (OBD), Function

"Premium 5.5 (SDARS)" radio systems have On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capabilities.

The radio head unit has a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory. If a malfunction occurs in a monitored component, a record of the type of malfunction is stored in DTC memory.

Check DTC memory, perform OBD programs and perform troubleshooting using Vehicle Diagnostic Testing and Information System VAS 5051/ VAS 5052 in operating mode "Guided Fault Finding".
