Clutch pedal, removing and installing, 02J, 5 Spd. M/T

Special tools and equipment required

3309 Release tool:

10-208 A Pliers:

Removing
- Removing over-center spring.
- Separate clutch pedal from master cylinder and push operating rod toward engine compartment onto stop.





- Remove nut -A-.
- Pull bolt out until clutch pedal can be removed.

Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse sequence, when doing this note the following:
- Install over-center spring.





- Fit retainer -A- to master cylinder operating rod -B-.
- Press clutch pedal in direction of arrow to engage. Ensure correct location.
- Fill brake fluid reservoir up to max marking with brake fluid.
Bleeding clutch system when fluid level is below min marking.
