Instructions:

Perform this procedure on all applicable vehicles within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty.

Tip:

This Technical Bulletin is in effect for 12 months from date of publication as listed above. After that date, this Technical Bulletin will expire and no longer be in effect.

Condition

Wiring harness ground connection torque may be incorrect (see VINs below).

Service





Verify ground connection torque between VIN shown.

Requirements:

Vehicle must meet ALL of the following criteria.





1. Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the BR code in the OTIS View Campaign inquiry screen shown on the day of repair.

2. Vehicle must be within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty.

3. Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Bulletin.

Procedure must also be performed on applicable vehicles in Dealer inventory.





- Inspect front wiring harness Ground (GND) torque (behind left head lamp, on frame rail).

- Check all Ground (GND) wire terminal fasteners. Make sure they are tightened to 9 Nm.

Tip:

The following pictures are to assist in the proper location of each ground wire on each grounding stud.





- Ground 642: Fan Control, Pre Heating Glow Plug.





- Ground 655: Steering Wheel





- Ground 640: Fog Lights, Transmission and Secondary Air Pump
