Clutch Pedal Switch F36, Removing and Installing, Adjusting (Clutch Pedal Switch Is Secured Directly In Mounting Bracket)

Clutch Pedal Switch F36, removing and installing, adjusting (clutch pedal switch is secured directly in mounting bracket), 012/01W, 5 SPD. M/T

In order to assure sufficiently secure fitting, clutch pedal switch must not be installed more than once.

Removing
^ Remove drivers side storage compartment.





^ Disconnect connector - 1 - at clutch pedal switch.
^ Pull clutch pedal switch - 2 - out of guide by rotating 45° toward left.

New clutch pedal switch, installing and adjusting





Note:
^ Check clutch pedal switch first.
^ Stop - A - must be before offset - B
^ Stop - C - is then directly beneath mounting hook

If this is not the case, plunger must not be pulled out.

Clutch slave cylinder will be destroyed when doing this.

Positions of stops - A - and - B - must be changed:





^ Push in plunger until stop - arrow 1 -.
^ At the same time, turn upper part of clutch pedal switch until stop in - direction of arrow 2 -





^ Before installing clutch pedal switch, remove plunger - arrow - completely.

When assembling clutch pedal switch, clutch pedal remains always in rest position (not operated).
^ Guide clutch pedal switch through assembly hole, press against the clutch pedal and secure by rotating 45° toward right.





^ Clutch pedal - 3 - must be in rest position (not operated). Plunger - arrow - of clutch pedal switch - 2 - is then rested against clutch pedal.
^ Connect connector - 1 - onto clutch pedal switch.
^ Install drivers side storage compartment.
