Clutch Mechanism, Servicing (Master Cylinder Is Secured to Clutch Pedal Using Pin)
Clutch hydraulic system, overview, 012/01W, 5 SPD. M/T
1. Brake fluid reservoir
2. Supply hose
^ For clutch master cylinder
3. Hose/line assembly
^ Separate from master cylinder and install
^ Separate from slave cylinder
^ Allocation for Left and Right Hand vehicles with Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA)
4. Grommet
5. Mounting bracket
6. Clutch pedal
7. Socket head bolt, 20 Nm
8. Pin
^ Always replace
^ Lubricate with grease G 000 450 02
9. Clutch master cylinder
^ Do not operate clutch pedal after removal.
^ Clip - arrow A - and seal - arrow B - must not be removed
^ To remove hose/line assembly, pull out clip - arrow A - only until stop
10. Transmission
11. Clutch slave cylinder
^ Do not operate clutch pedal after removal.
^ Transmission must be free of brake fluid
^ Bleed clutch system after working on hydraulic clutch mechanism
12. Bleeder valve, 4 Nm
^ Clutch system, bleeding
13. Dust cap
14. Clip
^ To remove hose/line assembly, pull out clip until stop
15. Bracket
^ For hose/line assembly
^ Secured to transmission together with slave cylinder
16. Socket head bolt, 25 Nm
^ Slave cylinder to transmission
^ Self-locking
^ Always replace
17. Hex nut, tighten to 2 Nm
18. Gasket
Disconnect slave cylinder from hose/line assembly
Removing
^ To remove hose/line assembly, pry clip - A - out until stop using screwdriver. Only after this, hose/line assembly can be removed.
Installing
^ Press in clip - A - until stop.
^ Insert hose/line assembly - B - into slave cylinder until line engages audibly.
^ Check by pulling hose/line assembly.
