Readiness Code, Reading

Special tools, workshop equipment, testing and measuring devices required
- V.A.G 1551 Scan Tool (or vehicle system tester V.A.G 1552) with cable V.A.G 1551/3

Procedure
- Connect V.A.G 1551 Scan Tool ((V.A.G 1552). Switch on ignition and select engine control module with"address word" 01. [1][2][3]Connecting VAG 1551 Scan Tool

Select function XX


- Press 0 and 8 buttons for "Read measurement block" and confirm entry by pressing Q key.

Display shows


Read measured value block
Enter display group number XXX


- Press 0, 8 and 6 buttons for "Display group number 86" and confirm entry by pressing Q key.

Display shows (1...4 = display fields)

The readiness code has only been created when all of the display positions in field 1 are at 0.

- If one position in display field 1 shows a "1", then create readiness code.
- Press -> button.
- Press 0 and 6 buttons for "End data transfer" function and confirm entry by pressing Q key.
