Oil pump with balancer shaft gear assembly, removing and installing

Special tools, equipment, testers, measuring instruments and auxiliary items required





^ T10060 Locking pin

Removing
^ Remove oil sump.





^ Pull chain guard off. Release locking lugs by inserting a small screwdriver through openings (arrows) if necessary.





^ Loosen bolt on oil pump chain sprocket.





^ Relieve tension on chain rail using a screwdriver (arrow) and lock rail using a 3 mm Allen key -1-.





^ Remove oil pump chain sprocket and take chain off balancer shaft gear assembly.





^ Loosen securing bolts on balancer shaft gear assembly (starting at outer sides and working inward) and remove them.
