Transmission gear oil, checking

Special tools and equipment





^ V.A.G 1331 Torque wrench or equivalent
Gear oil specification, Refer to Fluid - M/T, Specification, Capacities





^ Remove plug (arrow) to check oil
^ Oil level is correct when transmission is full to lower edge of filler hole.
^ Install plug (arrow).
When filling with new oil note following:





^ Remove plug (arrow).
^ Top up oil to lower edge of filler hole.
^ Install plug (arrow).

Tightening torque
Oil filler plug 30 Nm
Always replace plug!
