V - Drive axle with triple roller joint AAR 2000, for vehicles from m.y. 06.99, servicing





1. Self-locking 12-point nut
^ Any paint residue and/or corrosion on thread of outer joint must be removed before nut is installed.
2. Constant velocity joint boot
^ Check for tears and chafing
3. Clamp
4. Multi-point socket head bolt
Tightening torque:
for joints with diameter 100 mm
Bolt M8 x 28: 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
for joints with diameter 108 mm
Bolt M10 x 20: 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.)
5. Triple-rotor joint housing
6. Triple-rotor star with rollers
The chamfer -arrow- points to axle shaft splines.
7. Circlip
^ Always replace
8. Seal
^ Always replace
9. Cover
^ Always replace
10. Clamp
For triple-rotor joint
11. Triple-rotor joint boot
^ Check for tears and chafing
12. Axle shaft
13. Spring washer
^ Outer diameter (concave side) contacts thrust washer
14. Thrust washer
15. Circlip
^ Always replace
^ Install in shaft groove
16. Outer constant velocity CV joint
^ Only replace complete
^ Installing: Drive onto shaft with plastic hammer until compressed circlip seats (springs into groove)
