1. Self-locking 12-point nut
^ Always replace
^ Any paint residue and/or corrosion on threads of outer joint must be removed before nut is installed.
2. CV joint boot
^ Check for tears and chafing
3. Clamp
^ Always replace
4. Axle shaft

^ Always replace
6. Triple rotor joint housing
7. Multi-point socket head bolt
^ M 8 x 18; 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
8. Rollers
9. Triple-rotor star
The chamfer -arrow- faces opposite end of drive axle.
10. Circlip
^ Always replace
^ Install in shaft groove
11. O-ring
Not required for assembly.
12. Rectangular section seal
Seal is part of the repair kit. It is not installed in production.
13. Cover
Destroyed when disassembling.
Not required when assembling; not supplied as replace part.
14. Clamp
^ For triple-rotor joint
^ Only installed to left side on production vehicles
15. Triple-rotor joint boot
