Over Center Spring Removing & Installing

Special tools






3317 Installation clamp

Removing

Remove driver's side lower cover.






Tension over-center spring with clutch pedal and install retaining clamp 3317.

Note:

The hole (arrow) faces toward the clutch pedal.
- Bring clutch pedal to rest position and take out over-center spring together with retaining clamp 3317

Installing

- Pull clutch pedal into passenger compartment,






- Insert over-center spring into rear mounting first (arrow B), then operate clutch pedal until retaining clamp seats on mounting lug of clutch pedal (arrow A).
- Take out retaining clamp while bringing clutch pedal to rest position.
