Wiring Harness With 14-Pin Connector, Removing and Installing

Wiring harness with 14-pin connector, removing and installing

Removing
- Remove oil pan.
- Remove oil strainer.

- Make a sketch (similar to illustration) of all sensors and solenoid valves along with their respective connections.
- Before connections of solenoid valves are disconnected, mark solenoid valves along with their respective connections.

Note:
^ The sketch and markings are absolutely necessary to prevent interchanging of solenoid valve connections when reinstalling the wiring harnesses.
^ Interchanging the connections can destroy the transmission.

- Carefully pry out retaining tabs of connections on solenoid valves -2- to -9- using a small screwdriver and disconnect connectors.

Note: If a connection is damaged, the wiring harnesses or the valve body with solenoid valves must be replaced.

- Disconnect connector -2- from transmission.
- Remove bolt/screw securing 14-pin transmission connector.
- Pull connector and wiring outward out of transmission housing.

Installing
Install in reverse order. When doing this note the following:
- Replace O-ring on connector.
- Push connector with new O-ring into transmission onto limit stop.
- Tighten bolt/screw for 14-pin transmission connector.
- Tighten retainer bolts/screws for speed sensor connections.
- Tighten securing bolt/screw for Transmission fluid temperature sensor -G93- retainer to 11 Nm.
- Install oil strainer.
- Install oil pan.
