Locking cable, adjusting

CAUTION! Strict adherence to the locking cable adjustment description below is essential.

Adjustment requirements
- Locking cable in installation position.
- Center console removed.
- Selector lever in position "P".
- Ignition key in withdrawal position.
- Steering wheel in position fully extended and downward toward floor.

Adjusting





- Loosen bolts/screws -3- on support mounting
- Fit setting gauge 3352 A between locking lever -1- and locking eye -2-.
- Pull cable protective sleeve back in direction of arrow onto limit stop when adjusting play.
- Hold cable protective sleeve in this position.
- In this position it must be possible to insert and remove setting gauge 3352 A easily.





- Tighten bolt -3- on support mounting to 10 Nm.
- Remove setting gauge.
- Check function of ignition key withdrawal lock after adjusting.
