Shift Interlock Relay: Testing and Inspection

Check Starting interlock relay -J207
Special tools and equipment
^ Refer to Wiring Diagrams
- Remove cover in driver's footwell.
- Turn ignition key to position "Start".
- Move selector lever from position "S" to "P" and back to "S" again.
Starting interlock relay -J207- must audibly and perceptibly operate.
Starter must operate in positions "N" or"P" as long as no malfunction exists.
If the relay does not operate:
- Check relay -J207- and wiring connections plate referring to wiring diagram.
