Headlight bulbs, replacing


CAUTION!
Do not touch the glass portion of the bulb with bare hands. The moisture and/or grease from fingers that evaporates on the bulb during operation, can cause the glass to cloud over.







Low beam bulb, replacing
1 - Retaining clip
2 - High beam bulb
3 - Electrical connector for high beam
4 - Locating lugs
5 - Low beam bulb
6 - Electrical connector for low beam

- Remove front headlight.
Up To 08.98

- Remove cover on rear of headlight insert.
- Disconnect electrical connector -6- from low beam bulb.
- Push spring retaining clip -1- over lugs -4- and move to side.
- Pull low beam bulb -5- out from reflector.
- Insert new bulb so lugs on laminated plate align with grooves in reflector.
- After installing new low beam bulb check headlight aim.

High beam bulb, replacing







- Remove front headlight.
Up To 08.98

- Remove cover on rear of headlight insert.
- Disconnect electrical connector -3- from high beam bulb.
- Push spring retaining clip -1- over the lugs -4- and move to side.
- Pull high beam bulb -2- out from reflector.
- Insert new bulb so lugs on laminated plate align with grooves in reflector.
- After installing new high beam bulb check headlight aim.
