Convertible top test plan indicates convertible top open position switch -F171- faulty with:

^ Convertible top open and not locked

Technical Background

An incorrect position of the Convertible top, due to a misinterpretation of the instructions of the GFF test plan may lead to unnecessary replacement of switch -F171-.

Production Solution

Improved instructions, along with images for positions of Convertible top will be included in software update version 10.80.00 of GFF Test plan for Convertible top.

In GFF Convertible top Test Plan, when the following position is indicated: "Convertible top open and not locked" the convertible top must be fully open but the rear convertible top latches not locked.

Note:
Ensure that all the positions for the convertible top requested by GFF Test plan are followed correctly; otherwise, the system may lead to a wrong diagnosis.
