Side Trim, Removing and Installing



Side Trim, Removing And Installing

NOTE: Removal and installation is described for left side of vehicle. The same instructions apply for removal and installation for the right-hand side.

Removing

Vehicles with electric-/hydraulic and manual convertible
- Remove seatbench and remove backrest.







- Remove bolt - 9 - or nut - 10 - respectively.







- Remove trim - 3 - in area of clip - 5 - and clips - 6 - and carefully remove upward.
- Guide front seatbelt - 1 - and rear seatbelt - 7 - through.

Only vehicles with electric-/hydraulic convertible, with large flap base and flap servomotor







- Disconnect connector - 1 - from servomotor - 2 -.

Continuation for all convertibles







- Disconnect harness connector - 5 - from loudspeaker - 6 -.
- Unclip release cable - 3 - from ball head pin - 1 -.
- Pry off spring clip - 2 - and remove release cable - 3 - from retaining plate - 4 -.







- Remove front seatbelt relay.







- Remove cover - 2 - and guide seatbelt - 1 - through opening.
- Remove rear seatbelt relay.
- Unclip cover - 8 - and guide seatbelt - 7 - through opening.

Installing
- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
- Before installing trim - 3 -, check clips - 6 - and clip - 5 - and replace if necessary.
- Install release cable free of play.
- After assembling trim, make sure door inner seal is properly fitted.
