Center Console, Removing and Installing Convertible

Center Console, Removing And Installing 05.03 --> 06.05 Convertible

CAUTION: Before working on electrical system: Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap. Observe all cautions.


NOTE: Slight changes may have to be made to removal and installation procedures, depending upon equipment installed in vehicle.

Removing
- Switch ignition off.







- Remove ashtray - 26 - and beverage holder - 27 -.










- Lift up parking brake lever, disengage trim using a screwdriver and pull off from parking brake lever toward front - arrow -.







- Disengage boot - 1 - of selector lever at center console and push upward.
- Only if necessary for the continuing work sequence, remove clamp - 2 - and remove shift knob with boot.

NOTE: Installing clamp.







- Remove cover - 8 - and disconnect harness connector of cigarette lighter - 7 -.







- Remove storage compartment - 11 -.
- Remove bolts - 25 - (2x).
- Pull off cover - 23 -.
- Remove bolts - 22 -.
- Unclip cover - 21 - and pull out upward.
- Unclip cover caps - 3 - (2x) and remove bolts - 2 - (2x).
- Remove bolts - 13 - (4x).
- Unclip front cover - 9 - and remove upward.
- Remove bolts - 29 - (2x).
- Remove nuts - 30 - (2x).
- Remove armrest - 20 - upward.
- Remove bolts - 4 - (2x) and - 31 - (2x).
- Lift center console - 1 - at rear, pull backward and remove upward over shift lever.

Installing
- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
