1 - Lock
- Removing:
- Remove lid trim
- Disconnect harness connector from lock.
- Unclip operating rod, remove bolts and remove lock from rear lid.

2 - Bolt
- 23 Nm

5 - Rear lid
6 - Pull rod (USA)
7 - Lever (USA)
8 - VW emblem
- Upper part for access to lock cylinder
- Removing:
- Remove carrier with lock cylinder.

9 - Carrier with lock cylinder
- With lock cylinder and micro switch

10 - Bolt
- 3 Nm
- 3x

11 - Bolt
- 5 Nm
- 3x

12 - Microswitch
13 - Retaining clip
14 - Bolt
15 - Holding plate
- With remote release motor

16 - Remote release motor
17 - Harness connector
18 - Bolt
- 23 Nm

19 - Closure plate
- Adjusting - within elongated holes
- Removing:
- Remove cover for loading edge
- Remove bolts.

20 - Spring (USA)
21 - Nut (USA)
22 - Shaft (USA)
