Bonded Rubber Mountings For Final Drive, Removing and Installing


Bonded rubber mountings for final drive, removing and installing





Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
^ Spindle 3346
^ Assembly tool 3301
^ Tube T10030/2
^ Traverse T10030/5
^ Assembly tool 3348

Removing

- Remove wheels.
- First remove spring
- Remove subframe completely with final drive.





- Support final drive - 1 - .
- Remove multi-point socket head bolt for aluminum cross member.





- Remove aluminum cross member from final drive.
- Loosen multi-point socket head bolt -1 - .
- Move final drive approximately 15 ... 20 mm (.591 ....787 inch) -arrow - .





2 - Final drive support
- Position special tool.
1 - Washer
- Pull out bonded rubber mounting by tightening the spindle.

Installing





Installation position of bonded rubber mounting
Arrow on bonded rubber mounting -1 - must point up or down.





- Position special tools.
- Pull in bonded rubber mounting by turning spindle.
1 - Bonded rubber bushing
- Installation of subframe and spring is performed in reverse order

Fastener/location Tightening torques:
Bearing bracket to body 75 Nm (55 3 ft. lbs.)
Stabilizer bar to subframe 20 Nm (14 8 ft. lbs.)
Drive shaft to final drive 60 Nm (44 3 ft. lbs.)
Bearing bracket to body 75 Nm (55 3 ft. lbs.)
Shock absorber to trailing arm 110 Nm (81.1 ft. lbs.)
Cross member for final drive to subframe 60 Nm (44 3 ft. lbs.)
Support for final drive to subframe 60 Nm (44 3 ft. lbs.)
