Brake light switch, adjusting

Note:

Remove brake light switch to adjust.
- Disconnect connector off brake light switch.

Removing
- Disconnect connector off brake light switch.





- Remove brake light switch by turning to left through 90° for vehicles up to m.y. 02.00; and 45° for vehicles from m.y. 03.00.

Installation of former brake light switch version (with corners; for vehicles up to m.y. 02.00;
- Before installing, remove plunger completely.

CAUTION!
Keep brake pedal in the down position and hold pedal while installing switch.





- Guide switch through mounting hole and secure by turning 90 clockwise.
- Release brake pedal.
- Connect brake light switch connector.
- Check function of brake switch.

Installation of new brake light switch version (round; for vehicles from m.y. 03.00)
- Before installing, remove plunger completely
- Brake pedal must remain at rest position.

CAUTION!
Keep brake pedal in the up position and hold pedal while installing switch.





- Guide switch through mounting hole, press against pedal and secure by turning 45° clockwise.
- Connect brake light switch connector.
- Check function of brake switch.
After adjusting brake light switch, make sure the brake pedal is in the end stop position (released position).
