1. Self-locking 12-point nut
^ Any paint residue and/or corrosion on thread of the outer joint must be removed before the nut is installed.
^ Always replace each time after removing
2. Constant velocity joint boot
^ Check for tears and chafing
3. Clamp
^ Always replace
4. Axle shaft
5. Clamp
^ Always replace
6. Triple roller joint housing
7. Multi-point socket head bolt
^ M 8x 18
8. Rollers
9. Triple rotor star
The chamfer -arrow- points to axle shaft splines.
10. Circlip
^ Always replace
^ Insert in shaft groove
11. Seal
Is no longer required for assembly.
12. Rectangular section seal
This oil seal is part of the repair set. It is not installed during manufacture.
No longer supplied as a replacement part. In the future a new repair kit will be supplied.
13. Cover
Destroyed when disassembling.
No longer required when assembling and is therefore no longer supplied as a spare part.
A new cover is included in the repair kit.
14. Hose clamp
For tripodic joint
^ Only installed to left side on production vehicles
