Multi-Function Steering Wheel (MFL), On Board Diagnostic (OBD)







The multi-function steering wheel makes it possible to operate the most important functions of the radio and the cruise control from the steering wheel.

The multi-function steering wheel includes the following electronic components:
- The operating unit in the steering wheel with two key pads. Key pads with integrated electronics are mounted on the left and right sides of the steering wheel.
- The control module for the multi-function steering wheel.

At the beginning of troubleshooting, OBD must be initiated and the stored information read with the Vehicle Diagnosis, Measuring and Information System VAS 5051, the VAG 1551 Scan Tool or the vehicle system tester VAG 1552:
