Seat Belt Retractor: Service and Repair

Seatbelt Retractor, Removing

- Remove seat backrest.







- Pry cover cap -1- from belt guide -2-.
- Unscrew belt strap -3- from attachment point.
- Unclip belt guide -2- and remove from belt -4-.
- Remove headrest guides.
- Loosen cover and cushion for seat bench back.







- Unscrew hex head bolt -1- (40 Nm) and remove belt guide -2- from support -3-.
- Unscrew hex nut -5- (or hex head bolt on rigid seatback) (40 Nm) and unhook belt retractor -4- from support -3-.







- Remove belt with belt guide from support -3- downward.


NOTE: To uncoil belt, belt retractor must be in installed position.
