NOTE: The following description refers only to the VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST).
Connecting VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST) and selecting functions (checking module version)
NOTE: Connect Scan Tool (ST) See page 01-2.
- Switch on ignition.
Indicated on display:

1 - Rapid data transfer
2 - Blink code output*
* Two operating modes are displayed alternately
- Press button -1- to select "Rapid data transfer" operating mode 1.

Enter address word XX
- Press button -5- twice (2x). "55" is the address word for "automatic vertical headlight aim control system".

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

If displayed:
Control module not responding! HELP
- Press the -HELP- button to print out an overview of all of the possible malfunction causes.
- Enter address word 55 for automatic vertical headlight aim control system again after correcting malfunction and press Q button to confirm.
