Note:
^ Disassemble only for cleaning or visual checking.
^ The clutches -K1- and -K.3- are pressed together
^ Pressing -K1- off -K3-. Refer to Automatic Transmission/Transaxle; Service and Repair.
^ Pressing -K1- onto -K3-.
1. Circlip
^ Different thickness
^ Mark after removing and install at same position
2. Thrust plate
^ Install with stepped side facing circlip
3. Inner plate
^ Quantity refer to Application and ID.
4. Outer plate
^ Quantity refer to Application and ID.
5. Pressure plate
^ Install with peened corrugated washer facing piston
6. Corrugated washer
^ Peened to pressure plate (item 5)
7. Securing ring
^ Removing and installing refer to Fig. 1
8. Piston cap
^ Seals are vulcanizes to piston cap
^ Moisten with ATF before installing
^ Turn piston cap slightly when installing
^ When removing and installing press down and insert securing ring (item 7)
9. Spring
^ Seat between piston and piston cap
10. Piston
^ Seals are vulcanized to piston
^ Moisten seals with ATF before installing
^ Turn piston slightly when installing
11. Clutch housing with turbine shaft Height varies according to number of inner and outer plates
12. O-ring
^ Always replace
^ Installing refer to Fig. 4
13. Piston ring
^ Be sure piston ring is correctly located refer to Fig. 2
^ Fitting refer to Fig. 3

- Press down carefully on piston cap until circlip can be installed.

One piston ring is installed on pump shaft inside clutch housing (arrow),
- Hook ends of piston rings together.

- Place piston ring in groove.
- Hook ends together by pressing sides of ring in and guide ends over one another.
Note:
^ Do not twist piston ring out of groove on one side.
