Inspection Of Seatbelts

CAUTION: After an accident in which one or more belt tensioners have been activated, both seat belts and tensioners must be replaced and seat belt system must be inspected.

Check points:
- Check belt webbing
- Check inertia reel (locking effect).
- Visual inspection of belt latch
- Function test of belt latch
- Checking guide stops and seatbelt lock tongue
- Check anchoring components and anchoring points
- Check lap belt automatic retractor.

NOTE: Make a note if customer refuses to allow replacement of damaged seatbelt.
