airbag Modules, Replacing Following An Accident

Accident involving airbag deployment
Following components must always be replaced:
- Drivers side airbag module
- If necessary (visual check) also replace following: all damaged components
- Front passengers side airbag module
- Control module with bracket
- Airbag Spiral Spring/Return Spring With Slip Ring F138
- Driver seat belt
- Front passenger seat belt (if activated)
- In addition, following must also be replaced if necessary (visual check): All damaged components

After replacing airbag modules or the control module, attach label (only tear-off strip) to registration card and send registration card to appropriate business center or to the importer.

Registration card must be ordered separately.

Accident not involving activation of airbag
- If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 does not indicate a malfunction, it is not necessary to replace airbag components. Seat belts should be checked separately.
