DTC Displayed By Warning Lights

Diagnostic Trouble Codes -DTC Displayed by Warning Lights -K14-, -K47-, -K118-
On vehicles with navigation system, warning light -K118- is located at hand brake warning light -K14-.

ABS Warning Light -K47-





^ If ABS warning light -2- does not go out after switching ignition on and completing test sequence, cause may be:
-a- Voltage supply is below 10 Volt
-b- Malfunction in ABS

Anti-lock brake system remains off with ABS malfunction, but brake system remains operational.
-c- There has been a sensor malfunction after last starting vehicle (sporadic). If sensor malfunction -c- ABS warning light will go off after restarting engine and driving above 20 km/h (approx. 13 mph).
-d- Open circuit between instrument panel connector T32 (blue) pin 19 to control module pin 16.
-e- Instrument cluster is inoperative.

ABS Warning Light -K47- and Warning Light For Brake System -K118-





^ If ABS warning light -K47- -2- goes out but warning light for brake system -K118- -1-/-3- remains on and three warning tones are audible, cause may be:
-a- Brake fluid level too low.
-b- Malfunction in brake system warning light -K118-

^ If ABS warning light -K47- -2- and brake system warning light -K118- -1- or -3- on vehicles with navigation system illuminate, ABS system has malfunctioned and the EDL (Electronic brake pressure distribution) is not functioning.
^ If ABS warning light -K47- -2- and brake system warning light -K118- -1- or -3- on vehicles with navigation system light up first after exceeding 10 km/h (approx. 6.25 mph) or an engine speed of 2,000 rpm once and three warning sounds are audible, ABS system and EDL (traction control) are not functioning.

WARNING!
^ After ABS warning light -K47- and brake system warning, light -K118- have illuminated it is possible rear wheels will lock-up earlier when braking.

Parking Brake Indicator Light -K14-





^ If Parking brake indicator light -K14- -3-/-1- and Warning light for brake system -K118- do not go out after switching ignition on, malfunction may be:
-a- Parking brake is set
-b- Warning light -K14- switch is inoperative or incorrectly adjusted.
-c- Wire routing malfunction => electrical diagram.

Vehicles with navigation system, parking brake warning light -K14- -3- is integrated in brake system -K118- -1- warning light.

Vehicles with ABS/EDL
Complaint: "Vehicle has no EDL function"





It is possible brake light switch is incorrectly adjusted, causing this condition refer to Adjusting brake light switch.
In addition, brake light switch may not be functioning.
