Seal For Windshield Frame, Removing And Installing

Removing







- Pry out interior light using a screw driver.
- Disconnect harness connector.
- Remove sun visor - 1 - and sun visor mount - 2 -
- Rotate sun visor mount - 2 - 90 ° and remove.
- Disconnect harness connectors, if installed.







- Remove trim for windshield frame.
- Remove screws - 2 -, compress retaining tabs - arrows - for mounts - 1 - and remove mounts - 1 -.







- Pull seal - 3 - for windshield frame out of retaining rails - 4 - (seal is placed underneath with butyl strip in upper area of windshield frame).

Installing







- Coat retaining rails - 4 - and seal - 3 - for windshield frame with a temporary lubricant (for example: cleaning solution D 009 401 04) and pull seal - 3 - into retaining rails - 4 -.
- Seal off upper area of windshield frame with adhesive sealant D 469 101 A3.







- Re-install trim, sun visors and interior light.
