Hydraulic Cylinders, Removing And Installing

Removing

CAUTION:
- Hydraulic system is sensitive to any ingress of dirt.
- As soon as system is opened, corresponding components must be covered so that no dirt can enter hydraulic system.

- Loosen toggle bolt on hydraulic pump so that any present residual pressure can vent from system.
- Remove side trim.
- In order to push out retaining bolts - 1 -, first remove locking washer - 2 -.
- Pull piston rod of hydraulic cylinder - 3 - off convertible top frame.
- Mark hydraulic hoses - 4 -, remove from hydraulic cylinder (union nut 15 Nm) and cover connections.







- Remove bolts with washers - 5 - from hydraulic cylinder bracket (8 Nm).

Installing







- Installation is reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
- When installing, make sure not to forget plastic sleeve - A - and plastic washers - arrows - between hydraulic cylinder and convertible top frame.
- After installing hydraulic cylinder, toggle bolt on pump must be tightened and hydraulic system must be filled and bled.
