Convertible Top Headliner, Replacing

Removing
Remove padding --> 09.00
Remove padding 10.00 -->

- Remove latch pin/convertible top lock - 1 -.
- Remove expanding rivet - 2 -.
- Remove cover - 3 -.







- Remove rivet - 1 -.
- Remove convertible top headliner from guide pin - 2 - and from weather seal - 3 -.







- Remove rivets for tension strap and wind deflector from intermediate bow.
- Remove rivets - 2 - from side convertible top headliner securing points.
- Remove convertible top headliner - 1 - from bows.
- Pull off clamping sleeve - 3 - from corner bow - 4 - and remove from tension cable - 5 -
- Pull out tension cable - 5 - toward rear.
- Disconnect wire connection for heated rear window from convertible top headliner.







- Remove clamping strip - 6 - from corner bow - 4 -.







- Remove convertible top headliner at left/right - arrow - and pull out wire from convertible top headliner.

Installing
- Press in clamping strip - 6 - for convertible top headliner into corner bow - 4 -
- Pull tension cable - 5 - through convertible top headliner and corner bow.
- Fasten clamping sleeve - 3 - on corner bow - 4 -.
- Insert convertible top headliner over guide pin - 2 - in area of weather seal and bond (D 000 801).







- Install rivet - 1 - left/right.
- Install trim/convertible top lock.
- Rivet side mounting strips to roof frame.
- Bond strips to intermediate and main bows (D 000 801).
- Rivet tension strap and wind deflector to intermediate bow.







- Install padding.
