Front brake caliper (Teves/ATE), servicing
Notes:
- Install all parts supplied in repair kit.
- New brake calipers are filled and prebled.
- Apply thin coat of lubricant G 052 150 A2 to brake cylinders, pistons and seals.
1. Cap
- Insert in bushing
2. Guide pin
- 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
3. Bleeder valve
- Apply thin coat of brake cylinder lubricant to threads before installing
4. Protective cap
- Push onto bleeder valve
5. Brake caliper housing
6. Retaining spring
- Insert with both ends in drillings in brake caliper housing
7. Mounting bushing
- Insert into brake caliper housing
8. Brake carrier
- Install on brake caliper housing
9. Seal
- Removing and installing
10. Piston
- Removing and installing
- Apply thin coat of lubricant G 052 150 A2 to piston before inserting
- Piston diameter 57 mm (2.24 inch)
11. Protective seal
- Ensure damage free installation when installing in piston
