Read Measured Value Block (VAG 1551 scan tool function 08)
The control module can transfer a considerable amount of test data. This data delivers information about the operational condition of the system and/or sensors. In many cases the transferred test data provides support for troubleshooting and repair.
The test data has been summarized into single display groups because all the information cannot be evaluated at the same time. The information can be selected via display group numbers.
- Connect VAG 1551 scan tool and select "Brake Electronics" address word 03 with ignition switched on and advance until "Select function XX" is indicated on display. VAG 1551 Scan Tool Connecting and Selecting Function





Indicated on display:
- Press buttons -0- and -8- to select "Read Measured Value Block" function 08, and press -Q- button to confirm input.





Indicated on display:
- Press -0- button to confirm input.

Test sequence and test tables with measured values
Display group number 001
- Press buttons -0-, -0- and -1-
- Confirm entry with -Q- button.





There are always 4 display zones (arrows) in the measured value block. Decode the individual values in display zones 1 to 4 by reading from the tables.
With button -1- the next lowest or with button -3- the next highest display group number can be selected.
If the next display group number is to be entered manually, press button Then gain access by pressing buttons -0- and -8- in the work sequence "Read measured value block."
For display group number 007 remember:
The momentary wheel speeds are shown. This is used to check the wheel speed sensor application to the wheel. (For this the vehicle must be raised and the wheel turned by hand by a second technician).

- Confirm entry with -Q- button.

Reading the measured value block in display group number 003 must be performed with engine running
