Center Console, Removing And Installing
CAUTION: Disconnect battery ground strap before working on electrical system.
NOTE:
- When removing center console in vehicles with automatic transmission, selector lever cover does not need to be removed.
- Slight changes may have to be made to removal and installation procedures, depending upon equipment installed in vehicle.
- Obtain radio code before disconnecting battery.
Removing
- Switch ignition off.
- Unclip cover caps - 10 - and remove screws - 11 -.
- Unclip boot - 8 - and pull upward.
- Pull out ashtray insert - 7 -.
- Remove bolt - 5 -.
- Slide ashtray - 4 - forward, close and pull out - arrow - far enough until cigarette lighter connector - 6 - can be disconnected.
- Remove bolts - 3 -.
- Remove center console - 2 - upward over shift lever.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal.
NOTE:
- Check operation of vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows) as per Repair Manual/Owners Manual after reconnecting battery.
- If engine Electronic Control Module (ECM) is subject to low voltage with ignition on, DTC memory and Readiness code must be checked.
