Front Electric Window Regulator, Servicing

Electric window regulators, servicing.

The illustrations and procedures are for servicing the front window regulator assembly. Servicing the rear window regulators follows the same principle.

^ Front door trim panel removed and moisture barrier partially removed.

Caution
Do not damage moisture barrier, Water leaks will occur if damaged moisture barriers are installed.

Always replace damaged moisture barriers. Do not wrinkle moisture barrier when installing. Water leaks will occur if moisture barriers are wrinkled when installed.

- Removing window regulators Page 57-5.
- Remove two of the (Torx T1O) bolts -1- from window regulator / motor assembly and install into the window regulator at -arrows- to secure the base plate to the window regulator.

Note
These bolts remain on the window regulator.

- Remove all remaining bolts, items -1- and -2- (Torx T10 and Torx T25).





- Remove the window regulator from the motor in direction of arrows.





- Remove cover from new motor in direction of arrow.

Note
Surfaces are coated with lubricant and must not come in contact with dirt, dust or other contaminants. If lubrication is required use high quality lithium based grease.





- Assemble regulator and motor together in direction of arrow and loosely install bolts (Torx T10 and T25).

- Remove the two (Torx 10) bolts previously installed on window regulator and motor then install loosely into the remaining holes.





- Tighten (Torx T25) bolts in the order shown.
Tightening torque: 3.5 N-m (31 in.lb.)

- Tighten (Torx T10) bolts.
Tightening torque: 1.5 N-m (13 in.lb.).

Note
Check the window regulator/motor assembly for correct function before installing assembly
