Installation

Install the clutch over-center spring in reverse order of removal, and note the following:

1. Install the relay panel in the left hand side retainer before installing the over-center spring.
2. Pull the clutch pedal back into the passenger compartment.

3. Guide the over-center spring between the pedal and relay panel holder until it is in the bracket (arrow 1) while being pressed below the clutch pedal support (arrow 2).
4. Press the over-center spring onto the pedal support, depressing the clutch pedal slightly if necessary.

NOTE: If the clutch pedal operation is noisy, lightly lubricate the spring contact points with lithium grease (arrows 1 and 2). If the noise persists, also lubricate the internal sliding surfaces of the spring.
