Front Door Latch: Service and Repair

Removing:
- Door window must be closed
- Remove door handle.
- Remove door trim
- Partially remove vapor barrier in rear area





- Remove screws with collar -1-.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm (71 in. lb)
- Disconnect pull rod -2-.

Installing:
- Loosen adjusting screw (arrow) prior to installation of door latch.
- Tighten adjusting screw after installation of door handle.
- Torx T20 screw tightening torque: 3 Nm (27 in. lb)
- Left-side latch: right-hand threads
- Right-side latch: left-hand threads

The adjustment is carried out simultaneously by tightening the adjusting screw.
