Brake Master Cylinder: Service and Repair

1. Siphon brake fluid from reservoir, then disconnect brake lines from master cylinder and electrical connectors from brake light switches.
2. Remove master cylinder to firewall or brake booster, if equipped, attaching nuts, then the master cylinder and seal.
3. Position new master cylinder and seal to firewall or brake booster, then install attaching nuts.
4. Transfer brake light switches to new master cylinder, then connect brake lines and electrical connectors.
5. Fill fluid reservoir with clean brake fluid and bleed brake system.
