Fuel Pressure Regulator: Description and Operation

Fig. 4 Fuel Pressure Regulator:

The fuel pressure regulator is located in the fuel distributor. It accurately maintains supply pressure at 4.7 - 5.4 bar by the use of an adjustable, spring loaded plunger. The valve is matched to the regulator bore and is non replaceable, but can be removed for "O"-ring replacement. Severe blends of gasohol can damage these "O"-rings.
