Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

EXC. QUANTUM 5 CYLINDER & TURBO DIESEL ENGINES

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from cooling fan.
3. Remove fan shroud bracket attaching bolts, then fan shroud and fan assembly.
4. Reverse procedure to install.

QUANTUM 5 CYLINDER & TURBO DIESEL ENGINES

Exc. 5 Cylinder Engine

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect both 1st stage and 2nd stage cooling fans electrical connector.
3. Remove 1st stage cooling fan shroud attaching bolts, then shroud and fan as an assembly.
4. Remove 2nd stage cooling fan shroud attaching bolts, then shroud and fan as an assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install.

5 Cylinder Engine

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. If necessary, remove right and left radiator cowls and upper and lower radiator cowls.
3. Disconnect cooling fan electrical connector.
4. Remove fan shroud attaching bolts, then fan shroud and cooling fan as an assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
