The gasket used under the rear hatch hinges has been changed from foam to a butyl rubber and corundum composition.
The new gasket, Part No. 191 827 365, has been installed in production as of 8/83, VIN EV 000 013.
Note
During repairs in this area, a corrosion protective undercoating should be applied on the hinge mounting surface (arrow).
