STEERING COLUMN: STEERING LOCK SYSTEM: SYSTEM DESCRIPTION; 2013 MY Corolla [07/2012 -]

1. DESCRIPTION

(a) The steering lock system locks or unlocks the steering by activating the steering lock actuator assembly. The steering lock ECU activates the motor that is built into the actuator assembly based on signals from the certification ECU and main body ECU.

(b) A LIN (Local Interconnect Network) is used for communication between different ECUs in this system.
