SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL; 2013 MY Corolla [07/2012 -]

CAUTION:
* Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.
* If the side airbag has deployed, replace the front seat side airbag assembly, front seat frame assembly with adjuster, separate type front seatback pad and separate type front seatback cover with a new one.
1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

for Manual Seat: Removal

for Power Seat: Removal

2. DISCONNECT AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Manual Seat)

(a) Disengage the hook.





(b) Disconnect the airbag wire harness from the seat track control cable clamp.

(c) Disengage the claw and 2 wire harness clamps.

3. DISCONNECT AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Power Seat)

(a) Disengage the 2 hooks.





(b) Disengage the claw and 3 wire harness clamps.





4. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

for Manual Seat: Disassembly

for Power Seat: Disassembly

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 clamps.





(b) Remove the 2 nuts to remove the front seat side airbag assembly.

CAUTION:
* The nuts must not be reused.
* Make sure that the front seat frame assembly with adjuster is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
