Disassembly

INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL: DISASSEMBLY; 2013 MY Corolla [07/2012 -]

1. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 screws [B] and the defroster nozzle assembly.





2. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

(a) Remove the 4 screws [B] and the No. 2 heater to register duct.





3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

(a) except Urethane Coating Instrument Panel:

(1) Remove the 3 screws [B] and the No. 1 heater to register duct.





(b) for Urethane Coating Instrument Panel:

(1) Remove the 3 screws [B] and the No. 1 heater to register duct.





4. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

(a) except Urethane Coating Instrument Panel:

(1) Remove the 3 screws [B] and the No. 3 heater to register duct.





(b) for Urethane Coating Instrument Panel:

(1) Remove the 3 screws [B] and the No. 3 heater to register duct.





5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.





6. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH (for Urethane Coating Instrument Panel)

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and 2 guides, and then remove the side instrument panel LH.





7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly.





8. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH (for Urethane Coating Instrument Panel)

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and 2 guides, and then remove the side instrument panel RH.





9. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (for TMC Made)

(a) Factory-installed components:

(1) Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion.





NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 2 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

(b) except factory-installed components:

(1) Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion.





NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 2 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (except TMC Made)

(a) Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion.





NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 2 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

11. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (for TMC Made)

(a) except factory-installed components:

(1) Remove the No. 3 instrument panel cushion.





NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 3 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

12. REMOVE NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (for TMC Made)

(a) Remove the No. 4 instrument panel cushion.





NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 4 instrument panel cushion with a new one.

13. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)

for TMC Made: Removal

except TMC Made: Removal

14. REMOVE NO. 1 METER HOOD RETAINER (for Urethane Coating Instrument Panel)

(a) Remove the 2 screws [B] and the No. 1 meter hood retainer.





15. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE COOLER WIRE (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Disengage the clamp and remove the cooler wire.

17. REMOVE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH (for Urethane Coating Instrument Panel)

(a) Disengage the 2 clips and 2 claws, and remove the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish.





18. REMOVE SOLAR SENSOR (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the solar sensor.





19. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE (for Urethane Coating Instrument Panel)

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle.





20. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE (for Urethane Coating Instrument Panel)

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle.





21. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

(a) Remove the No. 1 instrument panel cushion.





NOTICE:
Always replace the No. 1 instrument panel cushion with a new one.
