Removal
BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: BRAKE ACTUATOR (w/ VSC): REMOVAL; 2013 MY Corolla [07/2012 -]
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
2. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
* for 2ZR-FE: Removal
* for 2AZ-FE: Removal
3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY
Removal
4. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately clean it off completely.
5. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and radiator reserve tank sub-assembly.
6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the motor connectors.
(b) Separate the washer hoses from the windshield washer jar assembly.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts, clamp and windshield washer jar assembly from the body.
7. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
(a) Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.
(b) Remove the bolt.
(c) Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), disconnect the 6 brake lines from the actuator assembly.
(d) Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.

* *2: To front wheel cylinder LH
* *3: To rear wheel cylinder RH
* *4: To rear wheel cylinder LH
* *5: From 1st master cylinder chamber
* *6: From 2nd master cylinder chamber
(e) Remove the 2 bolts, nut and the brake actuator with bracket from the body.
NOTICE:
* Do not damage the brake lines or wire harness.
* Do not carry the brake actuator assembly by the connector.
8. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
